Is there anything in the start system that would cause the car to not start around 200 F. It starts and runs fine, but if i shut it off to run into a store fast it wont restart until it cools down some... It seems around 175 or 180 it will alow me to restart.. Hard to tell without a digital gauge... Any ideas...? Forgot to add.. Its a 2000 GA SE1 with a 2.4

It's a special remote-control anti-robbery feature of the convenience store: prevents robbers from getting away.
:D :D
Seriously,
How many miles?
Any major work or mods done?
Will it not crank, or will it crank but not fire?
If it cranks, do you hear the fuelpump (in the tank behind you) softly humming prior to cranking?
There's no particular 'feature' of a GA that would cause this, TBOMK.
Have you tried pressing the gas pedal to the floor (like we used to do to 'set the choke' in old carb'd cars) when this occurs?
When you park, the 'puter has it's 'mapping' set at the conditions at the moment you shut off. Returning to the car 5 minutes later has allowed engine heat to soak into the intake manifold and essentially change the atmospheric conditions. The 'puter tries to fire the engine based on the 'mapping' from shut off, not realizing conditions have changed.
Pressing the gas pedal tells the 'puter: "check conditions now-adjust mapping as required".
Are the plugs fresh?
2000 = ~ 4 years old = ~ 60k; wouldn't hurt to change them. Badly burned/used plugs will cause a hard start under many different conditions.
If recently changed, were they properly gapped? Do NOT rely on 'factory-gapping' from even the most reputable plug manufacturer.
Don't forget to check the entire battery/cable system. A bad connection will still provide enough current to crank the motor, but might not have enough standby power to fire the ignition.
Or, the starter could be on it's last legs, and draws a HELLA lot of current when it's hot (electric motors are least efficient when hot) and it leaves no current available for ignition.
Good luck.

ok the car has about 75k in miles. There has been know mods or work done to my knoledge. I did get the car used, so i am not sure what might have been done before me.
The car cranks but will not fire. There is not even an atempt to fire. as if there is no fuel getting to the engine. I can also hear the fuel pump running before i try and crank it over.
I will try the gas pedal option next time i drive it. Also the plugs are not fresh. I am planing n doing a complete service when weather gets warmer. Because i dont know what the condition of anything is. I will do plugs, wires, oil, and all filters. Just to darn cold !!!!

No wires on a 2.4, just boots, coil on plugs setup... Coil housing is a common culprit. Thermal problem might also indicate the coils themselves or ignition module. Def. sounds ingition related.
