Horrible Gas Milage

Ok my car has been going to poo with gas
like 300 km to the tank

im gonna get my injectors cleaned, my fuel and air filter, what else. new plugs and wires have been done.

My question is how do i get to the air filter, seems troubling

I have a 99 SE and my gas milage has dropped off dramatically recently too. Only difference, I'm getting a code for a bad oxygen sensor. I'm having it replaced tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

O2 should definitely fix it up. Did that with mine and I went back up to oer 600km's a tank.. Beautiful

There is a hose (black in most cases, about 2.5 to 3 inches around, that runs from the throttle body to the small black round thing kind of under the battery. Loosen the clap and pull the hose off the round thing. You will see a butterfly nut, loosen that and pull the top off and you can change the filter.

Not bad once you know the trick.

About 186 miles I believe.

that's about what mine gets on 3/4's of a tank...i'm getting an emissions code light but my local mechanic things it may be part of the fuel sending unit which is a ton to replace...he said that it could be something else, but without replacing the sending unit, they wouldnt be able to know...so i have two choices...run with the light on and do nothing, or replace the sending unit ($700 bucks or so parts & labor) and possibly still not fix the problem...
