Hey guyz, I was just wondering how good of Gas Mileage you all get with the Iron Duke? On my last tank I ran about 285 miles from Full til it was sittin on E. Is that normal for an Iron Duke? I know I drive hard so I won't get the best mileage, but I wanna make sure I'm not gettin screwed over on mileage here! Let me know..... thanx guyz!!

Mine has been consistently around 22-24mpg. I have always thought that was pretty good for this car, considering how hard she is driven. Didn't usually fill up at E, so, not sure about the total mileage per tank.
At the moment it is getting nada! That is, untill I get this timing chain issue resolved!

I saw a government website that says it should get 21 city/24 highway, mine gets about 20 to 22 in the city.
I get about 19-21 mpg. And can go 250-275 miles on a tank of gas.

Well in my Fiero with my Iron Duke, I can get about 26 - 28 MPG. But since a GA is heavier, it should be to much less.

the fieros arnt that much lighter ironray. But you do have rear wheel drive so thats better for gas millage. I get on average 26mpg when uner normal driving conditions for me (beating the snot out of it)
as far as a 2.5 89 grand am beating a 96 cavi, Well, did he know you were racing, cause with either of the engine choices, hes got atleast 40hp more than you, and i would bet they are lighter. If he did know than you did a great job racing the PONTIAC GRAND TURBO

I always though that FWD was always better on gas than a RWD. But I am not going to argue since I don't really know. And now that I have the lead foot and a new water pump in my Fiero I am getting around 25MPG. Man, I love that car..lol
