swapping automatic to a manual transmission.

I have a 1999 2.4L with an automatic transmission. I was wondering how difficult it would be to swap to a manual transmission? and where would be a good place to start looking for the transmission and any other parts i might need to complete the installation??

The guide in the link is more for older GA's.

You will need the components used for a 01 SE - the only 99+ with 2.4 and manual.

just have to get all the parts from a 99+ GA 2.4 w/manual tranny.Take all the parts and the computer chip since the chip you have now thinks you'll still have the auto even tho you have the manual.Long process and $$$ unless you know exactly what you need and find the parts at cheap prices.

Has anyone ever done this before? and have any idea of exactly what i need. If the parts that were listed in the previous post arent the right ones for this year model.
