does the gt come with a 2.4 or just the 3100/3400? if the 2.4 is there any performance gain from the ecm on se vs gt?

By ECM I'm guessing you mean Engine Control Module.

The answer is yes the 2.4 has one. ALL new cars have a ECM, Its what controles the engine, Ignition timing Troble codes ECT. And from what i remeber there is no 2.4 aftermarket computer worth a shit avalable. Most guys just go to stand alown.

No, the 2.4 on only available on 99-01 SE's. It was however, available on 96-98 GT's.

Yeah they list one, but as i said "worth a shit" I dont know of anyone who has got the ASE to work:(

ASE requires that you send them your ECM. They will reprogram it and ship it back to you. IIRC, they quoted me $299 plus shipping. That's a bit much.

Well thats depends on who you ask, I know alot of people have had problems with there 3400 PCM, and the 2.4 guys dont have much more to say about it.
