I have been considering buying my friends 1993 grand am se with the 3.3L six-banger for a while. I figure i could get some wicked powere goin with forced induction pretty cheap, however i am wondering whether the stock tranny could handle it, or (even better) if i could swap in a manual tranny. upon calling my friendly local parts store i was informed that a manual tranny was an option on the 3300 motor....but have seen no such tranny online. So does this manual tranny exist? If it doesn'st...would the manual off off the four banger fit onto the 3300? just wondering...thanks.

No V6 GrandAm ever came with manual tranny stock. Somone on here has done a swap though. Use the search key.

thanks man, i was wondering about that because i even looked it up on ALLDATA at my tech classes and it listed a 5 speed for the 3300. maybe it was just a special order deal...or the system was just going by make and model as opposed to motor. thanks again.
