wondering how to go about porting a sealed box, its a truck box and want a ported box but dont wanna buy a new box, is it even possible to do this, if so what do i need to do??

in all technicality yes, you can do it. but it's gonna sound like ass. ported and sealed boxes are two totally different creatures. when you build a ported box you have to take into account the volume the port has. you can't just take a ported box, cut a hole, put a port in it and call it good. well you COULD, but the odds of it sounding good aren't in you favor.

not to mention that it's going to take some creativity to put a ported box in a truck anyway. you have so little space to work with that the box would end up taking a big majority of behind the seat, and that's if you even can get one back there. i've seen ported boxes that were in the truck box design, but i dont think i've ever seen an actual ported box in a truck......and the truck still function the same way it did from the factory anyway :P.

but good luck with whatever you decide to do. and if it were me i'd save myself the hassle and go buy one or have one custom made

Also most of the time Ported enclosures are going to need to be larger than sealed enclosures.

Is there a particular reason you want to do a ported box?
