what does the intake resonator do. Just wanting to know if i can remove it and replace it with pipe to upgrade my civic intake.

I figured it just helped with sound so I took mine off.Didn't notice any performance gains but did notice a deeper tone from the engine bay....

is the intake resonator that lil empty box thing on the bottom of the rubber tube that connects to the black box thats connected to the TB?

im talking about the one that goes to the TB. I was going to make the civic intake a little better by adding another pipe to replace the plastic. kinda like a stage 3 cai.

the resonator doesn't do much, just make the intake quieter. not sure if you'll gain much power if any, my friend and i ditched the one on his cressida but didn't feel any difference in power.

so if i removed mine with a new muffler already on... would i get a deeper sound or would it mellow out? anyone know where i can get some good lookin tips?
