tail light

Ok my car is white, so i wan't to make the outside of the car white. I think this would look good give me some feedback but, I want some sort of aftermarket white/clear tail light i've heard of aed but I don't know what they look like?

yeah whiteing your car out would look good. If you have black door molding get the corrrect paint code and paint the door molding white. White rims maybe?

AED's are 500 bucks not to steer you away and for pictures go to the source, www.aedcentral.com.

Also i think 97 tails will clear if you covert to the GT tails. You could clear the tails and paint the reflector white put some leds in there and then seal the lense back on = that might look better anyways.

96-98 GA tails GT or SE are not clearable you have to make your own custom ones like I am,I've looked at both GT and SE,the lens is colored platic.I'm making my own and you can check out mine in this section:)

I have a 95 grand am 3.1L and I was wondering if I could get those clear taillights or if I have to customize them too. If i have to customize them how would I go about doing so???

yea but you have to get the GT tails to do it,the SE's won't clear,but yea get the GT's and you can clear them:)

well, i almost made a set of AED style led tails for the 97 but lost ambition, but what i have found out is as was stated, you cant clear them.. however, you could cutoff the lens of your factory tailz, paint the inner housing white(to match your car) then put the clear tailight covers over your housing acting like the lens, using some clear silcone and put some red led's in there for tails and be done w/ it... if interested, i have a drivers side w/no lens available... or if you want to practice/play around w/... just an idea, or you could just get the clear tailight coversand paint them white in the inside leaving custom shapes for the brake/tail lights to protrude trhough....

yeah, AED's are sweet, but i can think of 1.78 mil other ways to spend 5 bills....

thanks man, i kinda went overboard on her, i was living in a 1K town and had nothing to do but customize and recustomize.
the tails are just 1/4 " strips of white vinyl that i cut and put over the black lines that are in there from the factory...and one thing is that there 100% legalbecause your not blocking any light, your just covering up solid black w/ white, sheot, it makes your tails for visable because white reflects on it and dosent absorb like black... its a super cheap, super easy mod... cost me like $1 worth of scrap from a local vinyl shop... sheot, can do any color you want..

did the stripes ever come off because $1 vs. $500, thats alot of vinyl! did you have any problems with it.

its just vinyl, took me 5 min a tail to take off, a hair dryer and my fingernail, no visable signs left.. stock as ever...

never came off, its like a windsheild banner or what not, went through every car wash and handleed my pressure washer, even if it dide, id take ya 30 seconds to fix.. i traded that car in for my 00... my new creation..

I just wanna see if AED comes out with the clear lens for their 96-98 tails lights cuz id really love to have a clear lens if possible,or even heat up some lexan and form it to fit the shape of the covers and use that,dunno if it would work.
