Yeah its been pretty death in here. Got a question though!

I'm just on my way out to Canadian Tire to buy some oil for when I take mine out of storage. I was planning on putting synetic in it, but I've used Valoline in the motor since I bought it, and I heard that their Valoline Max Life is pretty good.

Which do you think would be better?

Yeah i've been kicking myself for not using since i bought the motor, but I figure its never to late!
So have you got anything else done with your car lately?

about the motor im not sure but i think you might have to have your motor flushed out if your going full synetic beacuse normal oil and full synetic oil will not mix right and cause problems so i think you can only go synetic blend oil or have the motor flushed and go full synetic just my thaughts maybe im wrong but hey worth checking into if it saves your motor from problems later.

I have not done anything other than fix the leak in my drivers side tire. I have no money to doanything and its still to cold.

if you have been running normal oil in your car, and you have >80k miles on it, don't use synthetic, because if you do, the synthetic will actualy start to brake down depostits and stuff from the normal oil, and clog your oil filter and cause other problems.

see it would cause a problem by putting it in i think you would have to go to one of thoes engine shops where they clean out the old old and get the synthetic put in than .

I never did think that different oils don't blend together but i've been told by that many people that is not true I didn't know what to believe. But i'm not going to take any chances with a newer motor so i'll get it flushed before I put in the synetic

I know the feeling, we have been stuck in a deep freeze her for over a week which is unusual for us to get down into the -30's

different oils do mix together just not normal oil and synthetic oil.
