Apline is good, thats what I have for subs, and componets and headunit. But I have heard (and my boyfriend has them in his van) that the MTX Amps are supposed to be the best. Alpine might not have enough handling power. But I know MTX would. When I get my subs in my car that is what I will be running.

That can be MUCH debated that MTX is the best. They are mass produced nowadays, jus like RF, well really like alot of companies.
I think you get into better quality equipment in car audio specialty shops, not Circuit City's and Best Buys.

My boyfriend has 3 MTX 500D's in his van. Along with 4 12" W3's and they POUND. I guess it only matters what kind of MTX you have. He has the older ones that were built alot better then the ones now a days.

even the older MTX never really blew my dress up. they used to be better than they are now, but i owned a MTX blue thunder amp and i didn't like it. it was a POS and a half. some people have had good luck with MTX, but i personally haven't. to each their own :)

Alot of specialty shops do carry the same exact products as the big stores like Circuit. One chain store you'd feel differently about is Tweeter. They deal in companies like JL, Kicker, and Eclipse.....yeah thats right a Circuit city sized store selling stuff like that. And they usually tend to do alot more full custom installs too.
But anyway...
I'd definately go with the Alpine amp too. Hands down. Its also a fairly small amp too so it won't take up all that much space.

ppi is a good one too. Tweeter is a good place to go and get car audio equipment. if you know someone who works there that can get it for you cheaper..
