Im installing a 5.25 component set, i have a mb quart reference rsc 213 set, it comes with a lot of adapters so i think i might be able to get away without the metra adapters, but does anyone know for sure.

I realize that buy taking out my 4*6 thats in the car, im opening up the airspace in the door, should iwrap teh back of the speaker with something or should i just leave the back of the speaker open to the inside of the door.

how easy is it to get the sail panels out on the gt, im planning on takeing out the built in tweeters and putting the quart in their place anybody have any exp taking out the factory tweets and replacing?

the sail panels should just pop off. you can put the 5 1/4s in without an adapter. i would leave it open to the door, it'll be ok. and you'll probably have to hot glue the new tweeters in :D

Actually Mb Quart components do not need any type of enclosure, thats how they are designed, so the 'open space' in your door will be fine.

I have the same set in my 95... you'll be happy with your purchase.

I dunno about the 99+, since I removed the 4x6 mounting "box", the 5.25 driver was in a spot that is subject to water drips. I used high density foam (scraps from PC motherboard boxes) to create a protective deflector over the top, but still leaving it open to the door area.
