What Gauge Wire?

Alright, so i have a 200w amp installed right now thats running off of 8 gauge wire. Soon i'll be upgrading to either an Alpine (MRV-F340) With RMS Power Output (Watts x Channels) 55 x 4

OR an Alpine MRP-F240
RMS 40W x 4

do you think i'll be ok going with either amp using 8 gauge?
