help i want some looks!!

Hello. Here is my story. My decked out eclipse just died. Me and my wife went looking for cars and the only thing in our price range right now is a 200 se grand am 2 door. My heart sank as my wife said this is what we need to get and told me I could get a cool car some other time. Now the odd thing is my buddy just sent me 20 or so odd picks of some really cool pics of cars claiming to be grand ams. Anyone know of places that sells stuff to cool out a g a? For decent prices? The car is green by the way.
I would be greatful for any ideas thoughts or themes to deck out my car so I can have somthing I can be happy to drive. Thanks in advance.

Tell us what you're going for. You know, the look. Are you into scraping the asphalt on big wheels? You into the performance-look? You can do about anything. New wheels and a drop will definitely change the look. Shaving the badges (like a half hour job with our cars...cake) makes a HUGE different; really cleans up the lines. Some window tint would help. The sky's the limit. What was done on your eclipse?

yup,and id say the GA is a very cool car to drive!:D Its just as modifible as the rest......Theres starting to be a huge market for our cars now,thnx mostly to the members here who push manufactures to make things.Deffly check out Cardomain for things to do and use the Search tool here to find more as well:)

wow! the few picks you show here look great. My eclipse had rims a paint job a new front a new fin new lights and decals. My body told me a ga looks stupid decked out but the pics here look cool. I want a cheap way to give it a personality before I can afford rims and a body kit. I have my old rims from the eclipse is there anyway to tell if they will fit on my ga? anyone have a pictures they can email me of cool ga pictures? thanks guys. i am starting to feel better about my car.

hey samurai, take a look at the link in my signature. i dont have a body kit or a huge wing, but people still seem to like my ride. it works well to give ideas at least. most of the stuff i did on my car i either read about on here or i thought up myself.

wow! these pics are great! Got anymore? I am feeling alot better some pics of ga's I have seen are very cooll! What do you all think about the aluminum wings? I saw for 60 bucks a liked but my buddies say they can pull it off on a eclipse or a honda but no way on ga!! I was also wondering about scoops. How will black scoops look on a green hood? Thanks to everyone posting in here and helping me start to feel like I i have a ride that cal still stand out.

i don't think you can pull an aluminum wing off on any car, but they look a whole lot worse on a grand am than on an eclipse.

Id ither keep the stock spoiler. Put on an SC/T spoiler or get one thats not to large and riceish.

yeah.. the aluminum spoilers look horrid on any car.

my body shop said he could put on two intake scoops for the hood at 85 bucks. the car is green and the scoops are coal black. How will this look? He said he has done it to mustangs and it looks great. Anyone with nay place that has great spoiler deals let me know.Thanks

thats not my car...i wouldnt go w/ that spoiler...most people think its rice including myself...and it just dosent go that well on the ga...imo, also on the black scoops...if they are the ones you just stick on to your car...not my taste or style....if they are molded in...then that would be cool

My thoughts on the scoops would also be a no...it's just not a look that I care for...It may be totally different than what you're after, but here's a shot of how my grand am looked layin' out hard on 18s. :( Damnit I miss that.

I like the AED hood; I think it looks mean as hell, but you'd better have some power to back up the aggressive look.

the scoops look like the second picture but they will be black on a great hood. O.k. If that spoiler looks bad what about a factory spoiler painted a diffent color? Like black or silver? That way the spoiler stands out but is not far out. Any other ways to make a spoiler stand out and not look rice? Thanks all

i think scoops and wings painted colors other than the car's color looks cheap and very unprofessional. it looks like you just forgot to paint 'em when you put them on.

i often think about how a flat black spoiler would look on a grand am, similar to how the mach 1 spoiler is, but thats just my liking of the ford spoilers in general. ill try to get hese pics up of mine with an 02 mustang GT spoiler.

very nice very cool look!! I here there is rubber or steel you can put around your tires to make the car look lower. I live in pot whole hell and can't lower my car. anyone know of how to make it look lower.

is your car a GT or an SE? if its a GT then you can get the sct packeage from pfyc.com and its a round effects packeage.

We need to show some silver in here! My car is in my signature. Basically stock, lowered with 18's, & a RkSport body kit on the way if they ever get done making it.

Thanks again for all the posts. Great cars in here. I went to a body shop that said he could put in functional chrome scoops for around 300 dollars. How do you thing chrome would look on a green g a? Is 300 a fair price for working scoops? Thanks again!!

if their functional what are they going to "function" into? and I don't think chrome would look good on top of the hood, on the side of the car maybe, but it might look funny on the hood

Actually if your Eclipse wheels were 114.3x5 bolt pattern I'm pretty sure they will fit. The stock GA bolt pattern is actually 115x5 but 114.3s are known to fit but as with any aftermarket wheel I suggest using a hubcentric ring. I even think the back spacing is the same and all. I have seen photos of both clipses with stock GA chrometech wheels, and GAs with stock Eclipse wheels.

no way do the chrome. that's just to overdone. and when u say functional do u mean he's actually gonna mold them in to your hood.

he said he would mold them and put holes in the trunk. Plus he would put chrome around the base of the car and wheel wells.
I wanted a two tone paint job and some japanese stickers put on but the guy told me that you don't want to try to make a american car into an import. He said american and chrome go hand in hand so a chrome theme is the way to go.
