I believe the rear seat comes out bottom and back portion then the plastic peices off to the side and then the back. There is a few nuts and some torx then pop clips but otherwise ok. The torx might be the Grand Prixs I do not remember.

It's basically the same as a 95.
Depends on if you have a 2 door or a 4 door... Basically you have to remove two nuts from the lower rear seat, and remove it. Then you have to remove the rear seatback (and seatbelts) and they are held in by either a Torx T-50 or T-45 (Depending on the quality of the set you get). You then lift the seat back off, and you also have to take off the upper rear panels in the back. Wear safety goggles while doing this, the clips will probably break. Mine did, and I had a cut on my eye for a bit. Once you have these out, there should be two retaining clips holding the rear deck cover on, remove these, and you shall have access to your 6x9's.

I know this is old, but looked on Google and here and noticed this thread. Do a little searching and you can find out how to remove it for free still. Site I found was more for installing a bracket for Sirius Satellite radio next to OEM stereo  , but all I needed to know was how to remove the main part which looks simple upon seeing how to.
