I own a 1989 buick century custom (has the 3.3L V6 thats in grand am's). Anyways, my car started running funny so i popped the hood to find that this pulley that goes around the harmonic balancer had came off causing my belt to loosen and my car to run like crap. There was a peice of rubber (like a belt) that went around the inside of this pulley too. I guess my question is, do i just force this pulley back on the harmonic balancer, or do i have to pull the harmonic balancer off? If there is anything else i should know, please post it!

you need a new balancer!!!! the car runs like crap because it's out of balance now. you either have to hit the salvage yards and hope you find a decent one or you'll be off to the dealer. you'll need a puller and you have to get bolts AND different size washers from the hardware store, because the bolts that thread INTO the balancer will be tiny, yet they will NOT be big enough to sit in the puller unless you use washers to hold them on there. good luck
