I was trying to figure out how to wire the woofer of my component set and I realized it has 2 of each positive and negative terminals. The two positives stick out one terminal, like a Y shape, and the negatives do the same. Are these a different kind of dual voice coil? The box never said the woofers were, just said they are 4 ohms. If not dual voice coils, do I wire them like they are? If I wire them like they are dual voice coils, even if they are not, would it drop the woofer to 2 OHms?

It sounds like you can use one leg to hook the amp to and the other to "daisy chain" the wires to the tweeter if you want. Just a little different design, no big deal. Is there one wire coming from the terminal to the speaker? What brand are they? Peace, Lee

No, its not DVC. The + and - pegs are both attached to the same voice coil. Its usually just a way to give more options, like if you cant use the pegs sticking up cause it disrupts mounting, you can use the pegs sticking to the side. You usually find this setup on better speakers.
Its is was DVC, the connections would (usually) be on the opposite sides of the basket, to avoid confusion
