View Full Version : Stop leak recommendation

Well, I was installing a K&N in my car today... and noticed that the intake gasket is seeping ever so slightly (it's a little sticky and dirty around the gasket area-- nothing noticeable came out with a pressure test).
Now, in the event that I end up with a leak-- and the odds of me being able to get it immediately fixed are very slim-- what is a recommended stop-leak? I know it's only a band-aid... but it's probably what I'll have to do in the event of said leak.

Thanks!
Chris

Bars Leak, The best stuff ever.

That's what I thought, but wanted to be sure...
Next question: since we don't appear to have a straight shot into the cooling system through a radiator cap, how do I introduce it into the system without just having it sink to the bottom of the surge tank and stay there?

Thanks again!
Chris

What I do is drain or draw off some coolant and add the bars leak, then top it off and drive it. give it a good long drive. It will get in there.
