coolant leak

I have a 94 se and i have a coolant leak coming from the back of the engine by the timing belt housing i need help please

water pump maybe? Also dose it only leak whent eh car is cold?

yes but i can't find the water pump. Does it runoff the timing belt?

i know the 2.4 runs off the timing chain

Only the '95 is like the TwinCam... There is a seep hole in the bottom of the water pump, if that's where it's leaking the water pump is shot. Gotta remove the exhuast manifold to R&R the water pump.

Ouch that sucks! That motor is awful small to be so hard to work on.

when i move the manifold do i replace the gaskets?

Yes, but clean the motor and the maniflod completly before trying to reinstall it.

It's not a bad job, just put some cutting oil on it when the motor is warm ( not hot ) and let it soak in over night.

Mine came off real easy...But I didn't use Wd-40.

Good, give you plenty of time to soak the manifold bolts. They get hot and cold so much they like to become one with the things around them. Soaking seems to brake up the hold.

Put a little on Friday night and Sat if you can.

I have a 99 se and I had the intake gaskets changed because the low coolant light was coming on frequently. Well, I still have the same problem, the light comes on about every three weeks. I see no leaks, also a squeaking sound has developed, could that be the fan belt? Or could this possibly be a water pump telling me that it is going to quit on me?
