Anyone know a site where you can get kits to redo the doors like a Lamborghini?

you might be able to get the lambo hinges for hondas, and modify them to fit a GA, but it's doubtful, it will probably end up being a full custom job

get a good welder, a rental car and a nice chunk of change...and stop dreaming..

If enough guys want to, it could be done. Here's what verticaldoors.com said:

Custom Vertical Doors

Strart a group buy for VerticalDoors

- We need (10) Orders for the same car, and same year.
- Each VerticalDoors.Com Kit will be $1599.00 each
- After we get 10 orders, we will start on the VerticalDoors.Com Kit
- Please do not email us regarding this group buy until you gather the orders.
- WE DO NOT DO CUSTOM KITS FOR INDIVIDUAL CARS

well if I don't sell my car in the near future (highly unlikely) I'll be down for a group order

I have $1599.00 right now that says a group buy for this will never happen.
Group buys for mods at 100 bucks are a PITA

Ive done reading and searched on this, trust me,it would have to be all custom done.Welder is needed and custom hinges need to be made. And for 1599,IMO,not worth it.Its nice if there was a kit made for the GA and all and it would have to be low priced b4 id even do it.

that is not a bad price, but no way in hell youre gonna get 10 GA people to get that kinda money in the near future. keep in mind, around 60% of the people here with 99+ GAs that are modded are under 25, and thus dont have gobs of money to pump into the car.

on top of that, the GA isnt worth it to get that kinda kit done. you cant expect a lower price for a quality kit, weve jsut gotta face the fact that the GA is not a lambo kit type of car.

not to mention one HEAVY door your car would seriously shift once you opened it up. J

Ya, I thought my doors on my MR2 were decently light, but this guy still had to get custom fiberglass doors made. My 4-door GASE doors are heavier than my MR2 doors, and if you have a 2 door, they're probably even heavier.

Not worth the money or effort. Lambo doors belong on Lambos.

i might be wrong but my driver side and passenger side doors dont seem that heavy, atleast not compared to my backseat doors... those have to be shut harder because they feel heavier and dont shut as easy as my front.

honestly...the weight doesnt really matter, if the doors are heavy then you just need a stronger gas shock to compensate. my buddy didnt have to lighten up his doors on the 350Z, and his doors are not light at all.

what i notice tho is that the 350z doors went all the way verticle, perprndicular to the ground.

now that I think about it, vertical doors probably look better on cars that dont have the fram all the way around the window. That way it you get stright lines going up instead of the whole door shape. Just my :penny:
