right slipped my mind sorry. So the computer thing. Well the guy at the dealership says hes only seen them in the buicks. But he sait they work on a amp type system, sorta like the GFI recepticles. Because my lights keep going off he says that i might have the wrong light bulb in there, causing a difference in the power coming back. IE power going out 3 amps power comming in 2 amps (but its supposed to be 2.5 comming back in) and thats what the computer is set at and its wrong so the computer starts beaking off. And that there is a module somewhere that he has seen melt down in the buicks. He didnt know where it was for our car, but he says to check that as well. So thats what i was able to find out on the computer. I havent had the chance to get out and check all my lights as ive been to lazy, but with this nice weather we've been having i might get out there next weekend. Ill let you know ifi find anything.

Sorry but kirchoffs current law says that current into a circuit is equal to the current leaving the circuit, no matter what bulb you put in there the current in will be the current out. But the current in the circuit is affected by the load, so if the bulb is very different than it may be drawing more current to power it, causing a circuit overload and the computer shuts the system down.

well i figured out my lights. on the side of the rear lights, where it wraps around the corner, there are 2 little lights there. I never noticed them before, and one is burned out.

My computer kept telling me that my lights were out, but they werent. So thats why i thought something was wrong. But now i found them little buggers on the side so that'll fix it up.

Good call. When i got mine, it had an alarm hooked up to it that wouldnt stop going off, so the dealership just snipped the wires. So i figurd it had to do with that, but when i got another alarm installed it kept going off so i knew it wasnt the alarm. Now all i need to do is save some money so i can buy a light bulb.
