Hey X...the body shop is putting some insulation foam behind my front and rear bumper to make it more sturdy. They even pointed out that since the AAS kit is made with only one layer of fiberglass, doing this would keep it from moving in the wind and from just moving in general.
Don't know if it'll help with your chipping problem but it'll sure make the kit a bit more durable.
PS...Tomorrow is my roll-out date. Can't wait!

My local tint shop is advertising something they call a clear bra. It is heavy duty, clear vinyl the goes over the paint.
The Tint Shop (http://www.tintshop.com/auto_paint_protection.asp)
"X-Pel Paint Protection is an 8 Mil thick, durable urethane film that is pre-cut to fit and applied to the most chip and scratch prone areas of your vehicle to help prevent paint finish damage."
