Whats the trick to getting the clear corner look in the headlights?
Do they sell the whole headlight with clears? Or is there a cheaper way.

No way to get rid of the orange in the corner most ppl cover it in vinyl the same color as the car looks good that way too.

the discussion on 5th gen clear corners has been beat to death, dragged thruogh the mud and proved that nobody has had the money to buy some extra lenses and attempt it, there is speculation that you could get the clear blackouts, and use that as the lense instead of the stock one

If I had the newer GA and had the money for a 99+ headlight to work on id deffly try and get it cleared but i have no reason to,my 97 already has clear headlights(not to slap anyone in the face:D )

how much are extra headlights on average? emily needs some new ones anyway, so i might buy her some new ones and play with her old ones

you cant clear the reflectors a guy over at gagt.com somehow contacted the company that makes the OEM headlight lenses for GM and the reflectors are actually plastic fused onto the lense. That means whatever you do they will not come apart. Its a waste of your time to even try.

Only way to get them off is to have ALOT Of plastic experience and grind the reflector out and be able to polish the lense back to its regular state. The other option is to have plastic experience and mold new lenses.

And to clearify nobodys reflector has ever fallen out, if your talking about the aed guy with the white body kit his whole headlight lense fell off and he said it was his reflector but he later came back and told the truth.

oh i didnt know that about that guy. anyway...i was planning on experimenting with a dremel to try and grind it out. if im careful i think i can get it out and make it look pretty good.

i didint believe that guy about the orange falling out, but it really looked like it did. i was shocked because ive experimented with the lens in the past and YES, it is fused in there. (those bastards at GM!!!)

i surprised the dont make or sell cleard ones, like major companys or even GM, they must be retarded, someone like a worker for a GM dealer should call GM and ask about it

There's a very easy way to do it... and it was even mentioned in this thread. ;)

I'll tell you what the secret is, you get clear headlight covers and use them instead of the lense, it's that simple!!!

His entire lens fell off for those of you referring to the person w one amber. There was no actual lens on the headlight

Every vehicle has to have amber reflectors on each side at the front of the vehicle (federal regulations). The designers preferred to have them part of the headlight assembly instead of just some reflector randomly glued to the fender somewhere.

I personally prefer them where they are as it serves the dual purpose of reflector and side flasher instead of having both separate.

That's also why GM could never sell cleared headlights, they would be breaking federal law.

o ok that makes sense then alright

actually i wish GM made our car have a reflector glued somewhere randomly on our fender. think it about it, we could take the light out, cover it with vynal the cover of our car, then we would have clear heads and no orange anywhere

I wish that they would make a headlight like the new impala's... with the reflector sorta embedded into the headlight facing straight to the side. Like this:

Maybe we should start a petition and ask some company to do it for us.
