I saw this picture on some website of peole showing their cars off. I want to know if theres an easy way, or I would just like to know how this guy did this...

First off, dont buy cheap gauges. Save your money and buy Autometer gauges, like the ones in the picture. The instructions included are broad based, but are very helpful and wont lead you wrong.

How do you feed the wire(s) through the dash tho? Or do they come out underneath the dash to where you can get them? I'll most likely be doing this, just prolly getting a Voltmeter put in.

I drilled a hole into my vent tube and ran the wires through there for my A/F guage.. for a Volt meter it's easy.. there's 2 wires +'ve and -'ve :) you have 2 take ur radio out and then u can root around in there all ya want :)

Is an A/F gauge usefull on a pretty stock engine, other then custom exhaust and an aftermarket air intake? To me I think its sort of an appearance mod for the interior

A air/fuel gauges is even pretty useless on a modified motor running 15 pounds of boost.

If someone really knew what to do when adjusting air/fuel mixture they would use a Pyrometer its about 5 times more accurate than a bunch of LEDs on a white faced dial.

So in summery, Yes it's just a appearance mod.

Jay I agree that Cheep gauges are useless. But there are plenty of other very nice gauges that can be used other than Autometer like VDO, Stewart Warner, etc.

i like autometer. ive used several of their gauges. im thinking about getting their new Lunar Series 5" tach w/ shift light :D. it's green and would match my interior lights perfectly
