Well I painted the outside ring of the vent just fine. But what is troubling me is the sphere (the thing you turn). I just cant paint them right. It always has a run on it. I tried sprayin them when they are flat and dangling from a string. I just cant seem to do them right. If anyone can comment on how they did theirs, I would be very very very thankful. Right now I am so mad at those vents that I've given up on them.

Thanks!

Thats kinda tricky. I did some paint work in my day (and had plenty of screw ups) and in my opinion theres no right way. Really you just have to work on how your painting. Just keep trying to ride the horse.

Thin coats many many times will work.

take the two pieces of the ball apart and paint from the flat side first, then do the front it keeps the paint from running and bulding up so much

Find some testors model paint. Lightly sand the vents then use a sponge brush. After that clear coat it lightly 4-5 times.

I'm starting to use thin coats and plenty of them. Only bad thing is the wind is delaying me alot today. Last time I painted in the laundry room and forgot to open a window... Mistake. I had a headache. But o well, Thanks alot for the help, I'll tell ya how its coming and I'll post some pics if I take any.
