quick question

Anyone know where I can get a splitter so I can take the power from my cigarette lighter and use it to light LEDs? I dont smoke so I guess its best I put the wire to some good use then

if u dont use the lighter at all just cut the wire about an inch or so below the lighter (just in case you want to hook it back up for sum reason) and use the power and ground off of that. or if you wanna keep the lighter working...just shave off some of the insulation of both wires and splice into them

the thing is, is that i have 3 different colors im using and i bought matching light-up mini switches, so how would that work?

does that mean that youre going to be having each color hooked up separately to their own switch?

yes, thats why i was looking for a splitter.

i would just splice 3 wires into the power wire of the lighter...run them to the switches....and then run 3 more wires from the open switch terminals to the power of the leds......im thinkin that would work fine

ive got 3 flat plug looking things on the switches, one for ground one for the source and one for power. is there any specific type of wire id need to purchase?

no.......i was thinkin you had switches with only 2 terminals. all u would have to do is simple......on the ground terminal: run a wire from that to a ground that ur gunna use for all switches......power: run the wire from that to the power of the lighter.....source: wire from that to the power of the leds
