why do ya wnat to draw negative atttention like that?

but if ya do, get custom and put some led's in there, that will make it blue but you could put them on a switch so it wont get your a$$ pulled over...

those would just be blinding for someone coming over a hill as you come over...Just get the lights with the blue tinted lens and the white light, they are just as good and won't get you pulled over.

doestn that defeat the purpose fo fog lights? Actual fog lights are designed to penetrate the fog, hence why they have a yellowish tint to them. OR at leas thats what they USED to be for

Mine work good in the fog. They make a huge difference.

Please don't put blue blubs in your driving lights or even headlights for that matter.
Its so tacky and played out it's not even cool for the ricers anymore.

And on that note there are like a million different posts about blue lights, I'm sure you can find one with usable info.

Nearly all facotry driving lamps are for appearance.
The factory 880 bulbs are only 27watts. Replace them with the 50watt 885 bulbs and you'll see a huge difference. I did that with my Xtreme and will be doing it to the Grand Am soon enough.

^ ah a blue light hater haha :p

Replace the bulbs with the 885's or just get you some aftermarket fogs that fit in the hole. Stock lights are 4 inches in diameter. Aftermarket fogs are the best idea yet, if your going for preformance. If your going to put some ghey blue bulbs in dont even bother.

is that high-temp paint? will that paint melt my factory harness? i dont want to void my warranty! if i use white paint, will it make it HID white? I have HID's now, but the blue is chipping off... how come your HID's look better than mine, i even went all out and got them from target for $12.99, how much did you spend? does your check engine light come on? cause i hate that and dont want that to happen when i paint my factory bulbs...

dont you think asking just a retarded question such as " can i put engine paint on my bulbs" wont get you flamed?

Especially when you think you got HID's bwhaahha.

OK guys lets not let this get out of hand.

Everyone is free to state their opinion.

But lets not resort to childish name calling and bickering.

SC/T I think your signature should say "Got Ballast?"
Because as some of us know, if you don't have ballast you don't have HID.

A amber light is used for 'fog lights', clear light is typically a 'driving light'. Most people just call driving lights fog lights because they don't know the difference.

^ Sorry John.

Good idea for the sig haha.

To elaborate on what John was saying foglight/driving lights. Fog lights light up more of the sides as in the road side and ditches where as driving lights light up the road in front of your car. Also fog lights are usually only on when your low beams are on and driving lights are only on when the high beams are on.

Also, yes its usually amber for fog lights because amber penetrates thru the fog more than a clear light or a blue would. Actually thats why you rearly see HID's for fog lights because they preform horrable as fog lights, amber bulbs still reign in that instance.

or in my case your fog lights are there so you can atleast somewhat see at night because you have rendered your headlights useless with some black headlight covers but your too cool/lazy to remove them while driving at night

i must say that silverstars rock i did get back alot of my visibility now that i have installed them i can just emagine what there like with out covers lol id try the projectors but dont have the time/money to get into that...
