trans trouble HELP ME

when i m driveing and the torque converter locks up around 45 MPH the RPM's are 200-500 higher then thay usually are and there is a vibration through out the car is it the trans or the torque converter???

sounds like your converter. posibly your tcc .. unplug that first and go for a road test. if it helps that you got your ploblem. if not .. than i tent to lean to your torque converter

if your getting a vibration when your torque convertor locks up it could be a number of things. If you have a broken motor mount it could give you a vibration. When your torque convertor locks up your car is much more sensitive to vibrations and skips than normal. I bet that it is more to do with your torque convertor than anything else. How many miles are on your car and transmission?
