Alright, I want more power out of this little thing. :) I've put in a K&N air filter, and bosch plugs... what else can I do to this thing to get more power AND keep it under my warranty?
I ran a couple mod's past my dealership to see if they installed it, if it would be covered... but no. So no posi front differential, no ported TB, intake, etc... I know I can get a cat back system, but I'm still debating which muffler to go with. I want something that wont make it sound like a ricer, but also gives the look of the gt exhaust. Nothing too obnoxiously - sounding either... yes, I'm picky.
So what else can I do to this engine and keep it under warranty? I'm just about at 15k miles, and my warranty covers me up to 60k.

really not much and it all depends on where you take it. I have had problems with the main dealership I go to saying things arent under warranty then I went back to where I bought it and they cover it no questions asked.

Hmmm... Makes me wonder if the dealership that I bought my car would keep my car under warranty if I had them do work... I really want to throw in that POSI front from domestic performance.
On a semi-related note... Warped rotors @ 15k miles, that should be covered by my warranty, right? And do you think my dealership would just give me the cash for new rotors to put towards cross - drilled / slotted rotors? I doubt they would, but that would be kick ass...

Rotors are questionable I have had dealerships hesitant on covering them but they always have as far as getting cash towards replacment I would say its extremely unlikely because they dont usually replace the rotors in the first place they machine the surface of the rotors. I've never had them actually replace them on my saturn or the pontiac.

Alright, another warranty - friendly question.... I had the urge to drive my car like a manual tonight, and damn, i chirped it going up into 3rd. Does anyone know which slap-shifter would bolt right up in this car? Before I buy another slap shifter out of a 2nd gen t/a and modify it, which I would have to do since my GA is a 4-speed and the 2nd gen t/a's were 3-speeds (automatic wise).... Also, does anyone know if this would void out any drive train warranty?

I asked one of the local dealerships here. They said yes they would void your warranty for that. But like I said could be different in different dealerships

Yea, if you shift quick enough in almost any car, its possible. I was able to chirp it going into 2nd with my old Horizon, as funny as that may be....
