I got into a little fender bender with a Fox back in November and totally screwed my front Bumper so im looking into buying the body kit from AAS for my 99 GAGT. just curious how well they hold up do the fit correctly etc...

The fitment is CRAP! It'll take alot of modifying to make it fit right...especially the side skirts. It's a fairly cheap kit (price-wise) but it'll cost a 'lil bit to get it modified, painted, and installed. If you do get it, make sure you get it put on at a good body shop. If not, it'll look like a hack-job.

As for holding up, I've only had it on for about a week so far but it's not blowing around and feels fairly sturdy. Thats probably due to the fact that the shop put a whole buttload of extra foam support behind it.

I am 100% sure that the ED one is just a replica of the FX or AAS one.

ive heard crap for the anyd's kit. It doenst mold well with the car and alot of extra fabrication is needed to make it look good. It is the cheapest though.

i have it
dont get it its crap
i had to do SOOOO much custom work to it to get it to fit and look right its not even an AAS kit any more. If you ask me DONT GET A KIT.
sense you have a GT, Id go to pfyc.com and put the SC/T kit on your car. It not only looks clean but looks sporty as hell. And looks better than any kit i think and is 100% fit. Not like this fiberglass crap where it fills with snow and is crappy quality.

You might need to email them on the kit.

All opinion...

I seriously like the kit now that it on. Also consider where you live. I live in Florida so I obviously won't have the snow problems that Xidion says he has.

Yeah but theres the rock problem theres the problem of some one bumping your car and then having the whole bumper crack and chip
the quality is crap. And thats not opinion its fact.

Someone hits my car, they should have insurance that will cover it, if not...I have uninsured motorist. Either way, it'll get replaced.

I heard a few bad stories about fitment however, I also heard that AAS addressed these problems after the first few kits and now they should go on with minimal effort.

Theres the fit issue theres the air issue where when you repaint it sand it down there are pin wholes allll over the kit. If a rock hits it it takes the paint and fiber glass off. if you ever hit something the kit will blow up. thats how crappy the quality is. I own one i have sense last year you live in NY you get snow it will pack in the back end. I use chip guard on my kit now havent had any problems but im telling you the SC/T kit is a better choice.
