Hey guys I was wondering what exactly the benifits are of making a new ground for the battery? I was putting thought into this ... any suggestions on how and where to do it?

All vehicles need 2 good grounds:
1. Battery-to-engine (for good cranking power and for good charging path from alt-to-batt); and,
2. Batt-to-body (for clean power to 'puters and strong power for lights and audio).
The GA has a good factory ground system: Heavy cable from batt (neg) to block, and lighter cable to body.
IF the terminals at BOTH ENDS of the cables are kept clean and free of corrosion.
Clean what you have, and you'll be fine.
Adding another ground cable won't help a good, clean stock electrical system, anymore than using a heavier extension cord would make a table lamp work better.
BUT, if you have upgraded your headlights or audio system to some watt-sucking monster, then you should upgrade the grounds AND positive cables to heavier wire.
