I noticed today that I have a major coolant leak. After looking over the engine to find where it was coming from I noticed it was coming from a hose connection just below the firewall. The connection is a 90-degree angle rubber piece that faces downward. Now if a hose does connect to this, I can`t find the other connection. I also noticed that when I would remove the coolant cap the coolant would pretty much pour from this connection so I`m guessing there is a hose missing. So, if anyone can tell me all the coolant hoses and where they lead to and from on a 97 2.4L engine that would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I first noticed the problem when I was driving to a friends house today, smoke started pouring into my car. The towtruck driver said it may be the heater core though the floor isn`t wet or anything and the heater hoses are both connected. As far as the leak, I had full coolant before this happened now the resevoir is empty.
