It seems the car is having trouble starting! It wont turn over and it makes like the starting noise but it wont start. It eventually always does start after some trouble though.

Any one else with this problem?

This has happened to me twice since i bought it. I don't know what caused it but my car, when it happened, just flat out wouldn't turn over. Very odd that its an occasional problem, but like i said, occasional.

I personally never noticed it... Next time it happens, if if ever happens again, I'll try to remember to check.

The reason why I asked was I had a problem with my 01 Saturn where sometimes it wouldnt start and would just turnover. I later found out that it was my anti theft system and it thought something was trying to tamper with my ignition. This was a huge pain when it happened because the reset process usually never worked and I would just have to wait but it would always eventually start. Which sounds like what is being described here.

I recently had the same problem with my 2002 Grand Am. Basically, it's either your passlock system that is acting up or it is your key cylinder/ignition switch. If the car is under warranty, take it in. Either way, it's an expensive fix. With me, my ignition sensor/switch went out and the bill was like 450 including the deductible. Does your security light come on when these problems happen? If it does, a quick fix is to leave the key in the on position for 10 seconds, and the security system will reset itself. After that, the car should start fine. This is only a temporary fix. that is all.

I still dunno what it was, but since my last post about it, it hasn't happened.
