Today i finally changed my rear drum brakes. It wasn't super hard but harder than the front brakes. Here is a step-by-step on how to change them.
1. Loosen the rear lugnuts.
2. Jack rear of car up.
3. Remove rear wheels.(I recomend jacking both sides up and removing both wheels.) (Wheels may be stuck on the drum and you will have to use something to hit it with to break it loose)
4. Pull drum off. (Drum most likely will not come off easy so some force will be needed. Hammer works quite good.)
5. Take a good look at the rear brake setup.
6. Start removing springs starting at the top and working twards the bottom.
7. Take the new shoes and start reasembling them and if you have jacked both sides up use the other side as a reference. It will come in handy!
8. Repeat on other side.
9. Replace drums.
10. Replace wheels.
11. Lower car.
12. Tighten down lug nuts.
13. After a few days of driving check tightness of the lugnuts.
If you have anymore questions let me know.
