2.3L Remanufactured LD2 for 88 Grand Am.....Have about 5K on engine. When started cold, fires up right away, then idle begins to slow and stumble...computer kicks in and revs to about 2K...then backs down to about 1100 rpm. Idle then skips and tach needle jumps. Does not stall, plenty of good smooth power throughout all ranges. Only skips at idle. Is not setting any codes. Cleaned out IAC valve and air intake. Coil cover fairly new. New plug boots, springs, plugs (standard Delcos) and 02 sensor. One thing I noticed....When I unplug the IAC wiring when engine is running, it is not turning on the check engine light...Is this normal? Help.......
