OK! West Coasters! Lets mobolize. I have a feeling that this could turn out to be something big. If the people at Summit cooperate, this has the makings of big things for the Grand Am making a hit with a company that deals big in the aftermarket. Lets get this show on the road. We have the ability to represent with some nice looking cars to a really big company. Maybe we can get something from this community to help make a showing, like some banners and decals and some hats and shirts. I see a lot of potential here.

Further to an e-mail received earlier today ... the GAOC would certainly love to be a part of this, NO PROBLEM ... we are having a large Meet in Albany in June (of course you already knew that :D) so I would be happy to help with setting up something out west ... not sure I can do but keep me in the loop via e-mail or PMs and I'll see what I can do ... I can certainly set up a section so that it is a little more noticed so if that is of interest, let me know ... Hey That great to hear. I want the club to be one day as big as it is on the east coast. I think with the draw like Summit I hope this can turn in to a yearly event. I have talked to the manger and he happy to have the event. when I get back in a week I am going to stop by my Local Pontiac dealer and see what they can do to help out and turn this in to an BIG event . I just found this out tonight at the races that Friday night of the event there is a race so if anybody wants to come in to Reno Early and what to race let me know . I had fun stomping Hondas tonight . Beat 2 of them BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. It would be even more fun to have the club there to show them there are a lot of us out there. I need to start a list so we know how many people are planing to make the meet . How about a couple shirts?? Our pockets are not that deep but I am sure that I can muscle up some shirts ... maybe a GAOC decal or two, how does that sound?? It is not very much, but as you guys know, our site is for the most part financed entirely by Shawn and myself when it comes to 'extras' like this ... no matter though as you 'California' guys have always been supportive of the GAOC so we want to do what we can.

Someone will need to get a list of some inexpensive hotels in the area, maybe that is something you can do. I have also been working on an idea to get shirts made for the event with a logo I designed. Maybe someone knows where I can get shirts made up within the next month.

How are you guys doing for lodging? The only place I found that has anything open for that weekend is Harrahs, $269 for 2 nights.

I've been toying with some other ideas, but it's hard because all of us are from CA AND NV. Like a lot of iconic figures of the west coast are more representative of CA as opposed to NV. Such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Hollywood Hills sign,Walk of Fame, etc....stuff like that.

I like the mountains in the back ground in Kaitlyns An i like the two clear states. Can you do a black back ground and do the states in clear over the black and use all the states on the west coast and then put the club logo like the one you did . what does the club think of the name west coast G A's. :D Cool. First things first though. We need to differentiate something though; we have two different "projects" at hand, correct? One promo logo/poster/ad for the meet on June 26th. The other is a logo/club name/banner for a car club if you guys decide to go through with it. Right? :???:

Last thing that Corey (swordfencer) mentioned. If you guys are going to start a club, you have to remember that Grand Ams are N-Bodies...just like the Aleros and Malibus that will also be attending. So something a bit more universal might be needed...;) Just let me know. I have most of the weekend to screw around with Photoshop. :lol:

as for lodging.....there is a place i stay at that always has rooms avalible....off hwy 395...in lake pyramid....49.95 per night for a cabin....can park right in the sand on the lake....beautiful and a very not bad drive....about 30 miles north of reno.

No kidding. I looked up what is happening in Reno. Turns out the Reno Rodeo is that weekend, along with the Brews and Blues and the Crafts Fair. There is no lodging at all anywhere within 20 miles of Reno. That rodeo is one of the largest ones in the world too.

Jevaun, if you got a name and number for that place, that would be great. My current plan is just to come up for the day.

Yeah, hook us up. We will be leaving here Friday to drive up and stay in Carmicheal at our friend's house then driving up the rest of the way on Saturday morning. We will probably want a place closer than 2 hours away to crash for the night. And that sounds like a great price. Would be nice if we could all get a place to stay there.

hey guys....guess what....i won't be able to make it....i got a huge promotion at work that'll let me do some traveling w/the company....i fly out to ohio on the 20th.....kinda sucks to miss the show...but when i get back after 3 mos....man will my car be sick!!! :-) i hope you all have a good time....take lots of pics for me....plllleeeaaassseeee....i'll have my laptop w/me there so keep me posted as well

thank you guys.....accually i'm flying to detroit then driving to Toledo, OH for a few wks then comming back for the 4th of july weekend....then going to omaha and lincoln, NE for a month all together.....then i'm going to OKC and Tulsa, OK for another month......with a week back in Sactown in between each state. it's for store remodeling.....refreshing....and something we call "Customer Centricity".....it's not a training program.....Then for the 3 mos after that i'll be doing the same thing but within region (WA, OR, CA, and NV)

Yup, got 2 flyers up at Century Buick Pontiac in Woodland. Was there this morning telling them about our meet, and it turns out one of the office assistants that works there has a 03 GAGT. She is definitly going, as well as several others from the staff. They are willing to advertise for any meets that we have!
