Just a quick Q. When they go out, does it look like its struggling to lift one side of the window? I took my door apart and the right-side armature has alot of play in it, and the window itself is way off-track. I try and put it back in track and it just limps it's way out again like a lost puppy. Does this mean my regulator isn't producing enough torque to lift it? I've never had one go out on me before so I'm not sure what the symptoms are..

to answer your question. Yes. Mine got so bad I would have to put my hand on the edge of the window to keep it pulled backward, then when I could not go up any more without smashing my fingers, I would have to push up and tward the back to keep it from trying to push outside the car. This was on a 97 there were no adjustments. I do not know about the 95

Yeah mine pushes the top of the window outside of the car too, and I can't find any way to adjust it either. I guess I'm going to have to replace this regulator.. bah.

My cable is going bad already on my passenger side window and my car only has 10,200 miles on it:roll2:
It's going in tomorrow to get fixed under factory warranty:P

Another quick question, does anyone know what size rivet I need to use for the motor->regulator assembly and from the assembly-> door?

I just had to wait an hour and a half for my car today and my service advisor told me your all set for today but I have to come back next week because they had to order a new window regulator for me. Jeez 10,300 miles on my car and only 13 months old and I got a faulty window regulator at least I don't have to pay a dime for it because I got a factory warranty till April 30, 2006:P

Took me about 45 min to change mine out, but I do not have all the fancy tools either. I had to drill out the rivits and I replaced them with short bolts and nuts with red locktite.

I took mine out today in about an hour after drilling out the rivets. I need to pick up my new regulator tommorrow ($150) and install it, which shouldn't take more than an hour and a half I'm estimating. It's not really that hard to swap them out.. drilling out the rivets is the hardest part.

This is a nice tip that will help a lot. Take the door panel off and raise up the window to the perfect spot where you can access all the nuts and bolts, rivits. I taped my window to the door frame. This way it wont drop and install is very simple. I did not tape to any paint just around the glass to keep it from slipping.

I was kind of shocked to hear my passenger side window regulator is bad I roll down my drivers side a lot more than the passenger side. I use to drive an 2000 GT and I never had window problems at all and I also use to drive an 95 Se but never had any window problems because I had the old fashion crank style which is a lot better less electrical parts to break down:D

I've been having the same problem with my passenger side window,It still works most of the time(sometimes I have to help it up)but when it gets to the top it dosn't quite close all the way,It's a little off center and I have to push it into place.

When my passenger side wasn't working, I just bought the 20 dollar plastic piece that is usually what breaks. Although I plan to buy one of the eBay regulators if it breaks again.

Sorry about the delay but I went in on Wednesday to have my new window regualtor put in took about an hour and then the service advisor tells me some more bad news about my car. The stupid window regulator broke my window on the bottom. So know they ordered a brand new window for me on my passenger side it should be in this week hopefully. It sucks right now they cut off my power to my passenger side window so I can't touch it at all and they have a piece of black tape on my window because its still open a inch but won't manually go up anymore. So know I can't drive my car in the rain else my leather is going to get damaged in my car. But I don't mind GM already replaced my regualtor and is paying for the new window but what makes me mad is I have to pay $40 to get my passenger side window retinted. Their not covering it because its aftermarket.

Ouch, let's hope the mechanic wasn't covering for his own slippery fingers =\

I was kind of scared to pull out/reinstall the window myself, but I managed. Had to go to a mechanic to get the rivets put back in though, I didn't have a large enough riveter, and couldn't find one either.

Well the Gm dealer called me today told me my new window came in and I scheudled an appoinment for Wednesday at 2:00 pm. Lets just hope they don't break my new window when they put it in:roll2: I'm calling my window tint company tomorrow and I'm going to make an appoinment next Friday to get my window tinted. My poor car will look messed up for a week. 35% all around tint expect the passenger side will be a factory 70%:(
