Well the auto one ran an 16.9 to a 17.5 at the track up in Albany. I have the slip to prove the 17.0 one.

.It is a 140 horsepower engine, you can't expect too much. I sure wouldnt' waste my time finding out either, because it won't be nearly fast enough, and by the time you spend money on it, making it fast enough you could have bought a real performance car that could out perform it stock.

ANything can be a "real" performance car, it just takes time, money and patience. Half the fun of owning a car is to modify it and make it better/faster. If I had the money to buy a stock camaro SS, that means I could buy a cheap car, spend the difference on mods, and more than likely smoke the SS. only I don't have the money so thats another reason for buying a cheap car, and modding it.

Perhaps...but I bought my car for $10,400 new and at 36,001 mile a $4000 turbo will go on boosting HP from 125 WHP to 200-225. But first Im taking care of its weakest point, the suspension. Add $1000. That along with having a car weigh in around 2700 pounds, makes for a nice balanced set up. So for around $16000 I have a car that will run in the mid 14's AND corner well! :) I dunno how well the 2.2 performs in GA's but in J bodies the engine mated with a 5 speed is impressive. When the car is all said and done, im not going to look for Vipers and Ferraris to race, just embarrass quite a few people. What more annoying when you race in your Camaro, getting beaten or having a quiet looking car keep up with you, a car you would NEVER suspect would run with the big boys? :brows: I guess my self I rather be subdle and fast than flashy and slow; you know more zing, less bling! :D

Well people have their reasons for choosing their vehicles. I personally dont regret at all having my ecotec powered Ga vs the 3400 series.
