My 99 GT said HO, I hated that and wanted to get the ram air instead but never did.. I guess maybe they changed it to ram air because it was more flashey than.. HO.. nothing under the hood or the car is any different all the same just different badge..

i like HO now because everyone else has "RamAir" you dont see that many around with with HO. And i like when i pull up to race and everyones like "oh dude thats an HO" :P

Yep, just different marketing. Ram Air sells better for whatever reason.

Either way, I know I'm modifying it, so what does it matter? :)

IMO RamAir badging is more accurate anyway. I don't see how the engine itself is HO because of some plastic intake ducting. :roll2:

HO used to mean alot more in the pre-95 era...
High compression, bigger exhaust manifold, bigger intake manifold, UD pulley, PCM, etc.

Errr...I have an 00 GT and had the V6 HO badges. I since then debadged the car though. I also have the fake ram air that GM calls ram air.

Your 00 should have come with "ramair" badge. HO was only for 99.

maybe he was lucky. Personally, I love just having an SE. That and my car bra covers up the V6 badge. People look over at my car say things likes "HA! you only have an SE, GT's are so much better with the ram air and V6" Hehehe those fools, only when they lose in races do they realise this SE is really a monster in disguise. Thats what I love so much about my car, during the days, its just like any other SE you see so many times, but during the night, it kinda awakens and shows that it this isnt just another stock GA. That and unless they are a GA owner, they dont notice that currently, my single exhaust tip means that my exhaust is not so stock anymore.

I can't tell which ones are 2000 models. I know the 2001's have refined interiors (different stereo, the little red stripe around the speedometer) I think that's it...I notice everything. It says Ram Air V6 instead of H.O. V6 (haha HO)

I know I looked at a 2000 and it had the 16" Torque wheels available in chrome then when in 99 they were just available in aluminum. Then in 2001 they become only a chrome option. But besides that you can tell if it's an 01+ or a 99

mirrors, 99 and 2000 have kinda squared rear view mirrors.
