Malibu Maxx

Has anyone seen the new malibu maxx. I think its pretty ugly just wanted to see what everyone eles thought

I don't think it's that bad. It sure ain't no Pontiac Aztec. From what I read it has some good features and equipment. If I were looking at a new car it is one I would look at carefully.

Sat in one last summer at GAP. Not for me, but I had to admit that the backseat is pimp... has it's own sunroof, very spacious. There's seriously like 2 feet legroom between the seat bench and front seats.

Being a wagon/hatchback fan I like it. I got to see one close up at Hershey Park the other week and it looks like alot more TLC went into the manufacturing of it than alot of previous GM cars (including its predicessor)

Wagons and hatchbacks are a better vehicle than SUVs. They can often carry as much stuff, and they perform, brake and handle better, plus get better gas mileage. Most people buy SUVs & trucks for image, and not for any real need that a wagon can't do 90% of the time.

So for those reasons, I am a bit of a supporter of the Maxx. I was disappointed they didn't have one at the auto show. I wanted to give it a test sit.

Indeed, thats the main reasons I decided to buy my Impreza wagon (No, for the 1035th time it's not an Outback :D )

Awsome cargo room, so-so passenger room (I wish they would have extended the wheelbase so the rear seat could have been mounted farther back), excellent gas milage and enough power to get me where I need to go. Just the kind of car that a future college student needs.

I'd have no use for a truck or SUV. If I ever do, it'll probably be another S-10 or S-15 (I had an '89 S-15 for awhile.. but it sucked gas and was a piece of crap due to my brother beating the hell out of it before it was passed down).

Nope, I just like the regular sedans. Preferrably the Malibu LT if I were to get a Malibu. I don't like the Maxx because it's choppy wagon like styling.

Yeah, it's ugly as hell. But man, I tell you it's one of the absolute most functional cars ever made. you have to actually sit in one and play with all the features to appreciate it.
