Just wondering....I have a 97 GA with 205/55/R16 on right now. However, I work at a local Pontiac dealer at witch we have sold an 03 GA GT that had 225/50/R16 on. The customer had some issues with the Dunlop Sports that were on the car so the dealrship replace the tires. Now sitting in the shop there is a complete set of Dunlop SP Sport FM 901's. My question is would the 225/50s fit on to a 97 GA?

Man thats gonna be a close fit. My guess is it will rub but I guess you can try them. I really dont know for sure.

I was going by my friends, he has 45's but his is lowered. He rubs going up the driveway. If they fit it would be very cool. I love those wide tires.

They are ALMOST exactly the same size so they WILL work :)

I have that size on my 95 GT on stock GT rims. No problems, except mechanic had to trim a little bit of the plastic fender liners to avoid any rubbing.

Go for it. The wider tires really look good.

Are the SE rims wide enough? Or do you have wider aftermarket rims?

Im just gonna go for it and see what happens. The wheels on my car now are 205/55/r16. I have the optional wheels for the SE GA. I know they will fit on the rim, but not sure about the fender wells and sturt. Im taking two of the tires with me to work tom. and on my lunch brake were gonna mount the front two. If its not done by Wednesday, ill have to wait until the following week because im going to Virgina Beach. Either way i will post the results and let you all know. And if they dont fit anyone interested in the tires let me know........... Ill let em go real cheap since i have no money invested in them.

If you have the optional wheels then you should be OK.
