swaping engine vs doing the HG?

i'm in the middle of doing a HG job on my '94 SE SOHC quad...

i'm almost to the point that i'm thinking it would have been MUCH easier to just remove the engine and swap in a newer one... or just pop the head while it's still in the car?

i just know i'm having a hella fun time getting this head out doh

well your choises are pritty much that.. engine swap = big job.. been there done that .. in fact still doing that. dam crappy sohc engines.. lol if your going to swap heads.. go with the dohc set conversion . the parts are not bad price wise. most of them you can get at the bone yard.. just dont get the heads from there. i recomend new heads and timming chain for 2.3. but cam's, cam covers, intake, exhust man, IDI cover and timming chain cover.. grab them from the bone yard. then when you have some ambition after this job .. or mabey while your in the middle of it.. get some performance cams and lifters.
engine's .. i pritty much have had bad luck with 2 point any thing and gave up on them. riped out my 2.3 sohc and put a 3300 in there instead.
