Me three. When I go to get my next $1500 beater I might look for one because:
1. Its a Grand Am, hell, a turbo Grand Am at that.
2. People won't believe you when you say you own a turbo Grand Am.
3. Its probably expensive as hell to fix anything on, just like the Quad 4, so its right up my alley!
4. If it breaks down I'll steal all the interior parts.

I haven't had that happen to me yet, but when I go to the dealer now looking for parts and they start saying no we don't have it as soon as I walk in the door :(

heh, there was a '88 SE with the 2.0 turbo at the local junk yard, it was completle minus a few tires, don't know the condidtion of anything else though
although I heard that the 2.0 turbo wasn't that fast or quick, and the Quad4 was a much better engine
I would also have to say that the 3.0 or 3.1 that was in the 85-88 or so Grand Am's (they were V6) are pretty rare, as I never hear about them

Yep they are really rare also, I bought a GA last summer to scrap and its got the 3.0 in it and the motor really impressed me on how quick it takes off, but its gutless on the top end

The 2.0L is by far the fastest. I find the 3.0 is quick in the lower end but is gutless in the topless and I find the 2.0L quick all the way through.

I'm not sure which engine is better overall but I think that should be able to run with them all, I know my 2.0 will take the 3.0 in a heartbeat, the 3.0 will get ahead it takeoff but th 2.0 will pass it by the time it gets in 3rd I'd say

The hood scoops are made by Lund, I put them on the bonnet and when I put the car in to get it painted they molded them in with fiberglass.
Here is a picture before they got molded in

LOL nope they are put on with 3M 2 way tape, but the bodyman didn't want to trust to just that so he put a heat gun on the lips and heated up the scoops and then he put rivets in them to make sure they wouldn't move. I am curious to see how they will look once I get the car out of storage because he was worried about expanding and contracting in the heat and the cold. They looked fine when I put the car away for the winter!

is there a hole under them or just for looks?
TurboFreak
