It's a 2000 GA SE (though I could swear it's an SE1), that bright red color (not my fav, but the price on this one was too good to worry about color). It's a 2.4L, AT, power everything, traction control, Theftguard, CD w/6speakers, great condition, and 85K miles on it. That's the only thing that worries me.
I'll take a 'proud momma' pic, and share soon! Now, to get that CD\Cassette combo installed, if I can find one. Any hints on best place?
Thanks for all your great help, everyone. I'm sure I'll be a frequent poster here as I learn more!

Well, I was trying to think of a good Hawaiian name, but anything that red conjures up makes me woory! Like "Pele', the goddess of the volcanoes, or "Kilauea' an ACTIVE volcano...not sure I want the car to decide to BE a volcano!
All our stuff is Hawaiian named. I was born there. My big red (brick red, not blood red-again not a color I would've chosen, but was on the truck I needed at the best deal that I could find) Dodge Ram 2500 diesel's name is "Lehua", which is a rare red flower that grows only in Hawaii on the slopes of volcanoes, mostly...
Hmmm.....keep thinking.... I'm trying not to worry too much about the number, but I DO know I want to get the brake rotors changed, after all I've read. I'll have to go searching on everyone's suggestions for those...
Thanks!

Brakes and rotors.
if the car does not shake or jump around when you use the brakes and when you look through the wheel if you see shinny Not groved mirror like serface on the rotor. Put it off till it needs done.
It is possable that someone else has put after stock rotors on there and new ones are not needed.
You just bought it so a oil change would be a good start, keep it changed from there and the 85,000 should not be as important.

You should name the car Fred, while insisting it's a "she." That way you can simultaneously confuse your family AND the rest of the world.

hey congrats on buying a ga. sounds like you got a nice car. dont worry about mileage... 85k isnt that much and if your good to your ride it'll last. you gonna mod it? 2.4l a good engine for the mileage. the transmission i'm not aware of to many problems either. good luck!

Hey PontiakGA_Sport, this car came from your neck o' the woods! Based on the Carfax report, it was titiled in Mt. Airy LOL We live in Eldersburg!
It's been fun so far, but I'm trying to learn to drive it like a 'granny', not how I know I can! I love these engines! My 95 had the Quad4, and this one feels even better!

I've fallen in love with you again. :P
Anyway, there are a few cars rightfully called males. The 1970 GTO "The Judge" is most decidely male. The 1979 Trans Am "Bandit" is a male.

All of my cars have been "males". I don't foresee that changing anytime soon.....! :D
