My dad went out.. to lorenz GM (he worked there) to get an oil change for his saturn, and to talk to his friends.. he came back, with an 04 Grand Am.. haha, another grand am in the driveway!

except now he has a newer ga then me.. *grumbles*

except I can't stand the color.. it's like a reallly light brown, kinda, tannish.. I dunno what color it is, he doesn't like it much either, he's gonna see if they can do a swap and get him a red one.

I was not hip on the white 00 se I got after my 97 I wanted black but the price was right and the color grew on me.Now I don't think Ill own anything other than a white vehicle :)

well, like i said before, he got the car from a place he worked at before.. so.. he was getting it from his buddies. The car on the lot, was the ugly color, they where going to swop that car, for a red one another dealer had, but the other dealer was being a pain in the ass, so they asked my dad if he would just take the one on the lot.. so he did, now he's regreting it tho, so he's gonna call today and see if they can still try to set up the swop.

(and yeah, it's an SE)

That's similar to how I ended up with my GA.

Had NO intention of buying a car, but went to the dealer to "just look" ... the salesman said, "What would it take for you to walk out of here with that car?"

I sat there and thought, hell, I'll name a price that I didn't think he would give me, along with financing terms that were rather low for my credit rating, along with asking for cash back.

He smiled, and said, You know it's the last day of the month don't you? Let me go check with the finance office.

15 minutes later... I bought a car.

It was an awesome feeling to not only get the car I wanted, but also at the price and financing terms I wanted.
