So we had some storms here in Illinois a couple of days ago. Straight line winds decided to rip off part of a tree and throw it on my car. Now I'm sitting here with a busted up car that I've only had for one month. Tuesday I have to find out if they will total the car out or try to repair it. Got a couple of pics for you.

And another....
none of my pictures really capture how bashed up the roof of the car is or how the driver side door isn't aligned at all like it is supposed to be with the quarter panel.

That sucks. But it does look repairable from the photos. The only time they will total out a vehicle that can be repaired is when the total cost of repairs is more than the value of the vehicle.

Most of it is replaceable like the hood, door, and what not...I'm just wondering what they are going to do about the roof. I'm not too keen on them chopping it off and welding a new one on if that is what they plan to repair it with.

Man - that sucks. Last July 4th, a storm came through Dayton. Lightning struck a tree across the street from my house, and it fell across the back of my car and totalled it. Two days after i paid $2000 to have the transmission reconditioned.
Yours should be fixable - still sucks though...

Ouch. :(
Judging by the mis-ailigned body panels/doors and the GA's terrible depreciating value, I'm gonna say they'll total it. In fact, for your sake, I would hope so... it would never be the same, especially in regards to chassis stiffness and the sunroof.
My stepdad had mild roof damage to his Integra (deer) and no matter how many times it was fixed, the sunroof leaked.

well.. the fortunate thing for you is that it will be ruled an act of God. Therefore you dont have to worry about paying for too much.
Where abouts in IL are you? I wonder if your storms were the same that hit here.
