Here is a free easy mod for cold air intake using the original equipment.

If you stand at the front of the car with the hood open. On your right side above the headlight there is a black plastic peice and another one just behind it on the engine compartment. Remove them carefully "make sure to hold on to all the clips". You will notice a hole beside the rad hose yes it is big enough for the air intake. :D Put your air intake hose through that hole you may need to trwist it the oposite way so that it does not kink (I trimed mine down afterwards) instead of behind the battery. Now put the top plastic peice back and using the back top clips for the other peice secure the front edge of it to your headlight case to cut down on rain going in. If I can get pics I will.

Pretty neat hey!

Next I'm going to turn may battery sideways so I can run a aluminum CAI the same way. I will probly need to put the K&N mid way on the pipe.

Happy Modding all.

Thats the way to do it. I did that last summer and still have it like that now.

With the aluminum pip and all?

No, I did it with the stock air hose. It would probably be better with an alluminum pipe, but this works for me.

Notice any difference?

Ya abit but I still have the stock air filter. I'm not going to replace the stock with a K&N I'll go straight to a K&N cone and alluminum pipes. Doing away with the box and all that junk. :)

I didn't notice a big change, but since the air inlet pipe made an almost 90 degree turn aroung the battery, moving it behind the light could only help.
