Yeah.. After having the RKsport one sitting in the garage for a long time I just got the idea today.. So I took off the top air box, unhooked it from the big black hose and put the cone air filter right on and baam! A wai! I'm so proud of myself for doing it.. I should have thought of it like 4 months ago when I couldn't get it to work.. :D :D :D

you'll be pleased with the AEM;) I love my AEM WAI.....Just some advice tho....get an AEM bypass vavle...My friend has an accord with the AEM CAI and he ended up getting hydrolock and hes out an engine, but hes getting the H22A engine(the Vtech in prelude's) It is only a 30 buck piece to save a 2000 or so engine from water.Nice little mod tho:P :D

FYI, tho bipass valves do no good in preventing a little bit of water from entering the motor.
In order for those little rubber flaps to open the filter has to be blocked off, IE: submerged in water. I've had our CAI in the wheelwell for a year though winter and everything with no problems.

yea, i never really did trust CAIs for that fact. but i wannt try my wai with a custon ram air hood. seen one in hear that was true ram air hood but ya had to cut a hole in the hood, but the duct work was there already.

He said he has had no probs with it.
I have also had my CAI in my fender for a year through rain, deep puddles, snow etc. no probs.
The filter has to be literally submerged. Do you plan on completely submerging your front end?

I've had my cai though the winter and had no problems. You would want to use a k&n cause the oil helps to keep the water out. You will also have to clean/recharge the filter about every 6 months cause it gets really dirty and avoid driving into rivers. The good thing is that on all GA's the filter sits in the driver's side fenderwell, but on alot of Honda's the filter sits in the passanger side fenderwell and water tends to collect on that side of the road.
