Hey guys.... I thought I'd post some pics of my '88 Camaro that I will be fixin up this spring/summer! This was originally my dad's car and he gave it to me.... it needs some work but I will fix it up. Its only got a v6 in it but I'll prolly drop a 350 in it someday. Heres some pics from last fall, I'll get some once I start tearin her apart!! Right now I know it needs..... Exhaust, Radiator, Fuel Lines, Tune-Up, Brakes, and Painjob. Let me know if any of you know of a good place to get 3rd Gen Camaro parts!! Thanx for lookin!! :thumbup2:

looks like a decent project, the Earnhardt plate adds 150 hp and puts you in the "see the wind" mode!

Good luck with the project. Not a fan of the orignal color, or the stock steering wheel for that matter, but lots of potential there. I'll suggest 3rdgen.org and thirdgen.org for restoration and parts questions.

A good place to get parts for the 3rd Gen Camaro is Third Gen Resource (http://www.thirdgenresource.com) My husband has an 86 Camaro that we are fixing up and he has ordered lots of stuff from them. They have good prices and good service. Another place is Hawks Third gen. (don't know their website address, but it can be found at thirdgen.org).

Thanx for the replies guys! Ya it's gonna be one heck of a project... but it'll be fun! I'm already a member of thirdgen.org, post there sometimes, but read up on stuff i need to know a lot! I didnt know about 3rdgen.org, I'll have to check it out! For parts I've found that hawks, third gen resource, and thunder racing are all great places!
Oh ya.... the Grand Am is goin nowhere! It'll prolly be my daily driver and I'll drive the Camaro every once in awhile til I get a lot of work done on it, I really wanna drop a 350 in the Camaro and take it to the track to be my racer! LoL! We'll see what happens... thanx guyz!!

Looks great!
You already know I have a ton or parts avalible.
I'd like to take my '83 Z28 and put a fiberglass clip on teh front to replace teh damaged sheet metal and race it. The healthy L69 and T5 are still stronge runners. And I'll have my friend check on that 2.8 radiator for you tomarrow.
We had a 2.8 on our '89 RS. Put a nice airfilter in there and find someone getting rid of a IROCZ exhaust. Sounds great with the larger pipes on it. A guy that works at Napa near me has a very nice purple '89 RS with ghost stripes on it running a ZZ4 crate motor and a TH350 tranny.
Can't wait to see it done.
