i have heard about a new cam coming out. i was just wondering, will it just replace the old one? or does the computer need to be tuned, and other crap like that.

Yes, Comp Cams is currently working on one for the 3.4l 2 N/A cams, a SC cam and a Nitrous, Turbo cam. You will need a computer tune for some, it may throw a misfire code at idle and cause the PCM to go into safe mode if it misfires too many times

but does the 2.4 get one? nope we have to try and find a 2.3L cam

RSM has cams for the 2.4L. not exectly cheap, but they just swap out. include the cam carriers too.

who does the tuning? a performace shop or a mechanic?

DHP would have to do it, you can have them dyno tune it, expensive but worth it if you have enough mods. Or e-mail them and set up what you need tuned into your PCM. Changes for headers, blower, etc...

Yeah thats great about DHP all except they don't tune 2003 and up Gramd Am's...........
